I am a 52 year old baby boomer born and raised in Philadelphia, PA; "The city of brotherly love and sisterly affection". I'm the middle child of four siblings; one sister. I have a 19 year old daughter attending the Arts Institute and a 14 year old daughter, who is a cancer survivor,in middle school. Retired after 31 years at Verizon, I am in persuit of a new career as a freelance writer and public relations consultant. I'm writing a memoir about my experience with my daugthers illness while overcoming numerous ostacles and reaching impossible goals. Perhaps someone might be inspired to follow their dream. I am the Public Relations Director for the Freedom Choir of Philadelphia; an independent community choir that was once a part of Dr. Kings organization- the Southern Christain Leadership Conference (SCLC). The group contributes to the community by inspiring, motivating, and educating its audience via outstanding performances through song and drama.The group also donate Christmas food baskets to needy families in Philadelphia during their annual Christmas Food Basket Campaign.
